小熊靠著費德羅威茲（Tim Federowicz）的高飛犧牲打，在第2局拿下1分，而海盜菜鳥貝爾（Josh Bell）則在3局下也敲出高飛犧牲打追平比數。

海盜右投諾瓦（Ivan Nova）5.1局被敲4安丟1分，並送出5次三振，由於所有數據都納入計算，這是諾瓦來到海盜後第3場完投，從洋基來到海盜後，他11場先發、防禦率為3.05，送出52次三振，僅有3次保送，今年季後將成為自由球員。
